Ahh May, when nature really goes into high gear! May conjures up some great movie scenes with “springy” things, and here’s our Top Five:
Flowers - A sure sign of May is daffodils. Big Fish has one of the best daffodil scenes ever.
Birds - Birds get very active in May. Why not a thirteen foot tall giant tropical bird named Kevin from the movie UP?
Trees - And speaking of trees, how about a speaking tree. Although this apple tree from the Wizard of Oz is kind of mean he’s very memorable.
Picnics - There are picnics, and there are picnics in the Alps with ancient castles in the background. The Sound of Music “takes the cake” for picnics.
Sun The sun takes on a different hue this time of year. In Days of Heaven the sun was a silent star as Terrence Malick shot every outside scene during what is called “The Golden Hour” just after sunrise and just before sunset.
